my mother's annotated Kugelis recipe (from my father's side of the family).Family Favorites from our Best Cooks

KUGELIS (Grated Potato Pudding)
4 lb. white potatoes 3c. regular milk
1 med. onion 6 eggs
1/4 lb butter 2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper
add potato starch prn*
Peel and grate fine the potatoes and onion.
Beat eggs and add to potatoes. Add both milk and salt and pepper;
stir well.
Pour into a greased pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1-2
hours, or until crispy brown.
Depth of potato mixture should be no less than 2 1/2 inches
in baking pan.
*prn - used as needed : a medical term my mother used as a nurse.
