Multiple display monitors is a paper saver as well in that you no longer need to print how-to software development articles to follow along.

 

Personal anecdotal evidence says I’m happier with two monitors. And that I find it easier to view data in multiple programs with such a setup. Does it really speed productivity? Hey, this is anecdotal evidence, buddy!
