I need to change the name of this group.
I have, somewhat related, non-DotNet information to put in here -- like VB6-era code.

(:source lang=text:)
WindowsDevelopment - 'cept "Windows" is so generic. Seriously.
Win32Development is right out, because Win62 is possible
MSCoding - Ugh
MSWinDev - also ugh
WinDev - it's shorter, but still implies that generic "Windows" thing. Which I just may have to live with
(:sourceend:)

Most [[ImagingDeveloper]]s now have VisualStudio 2005 installed on their machines.

With the 2.0 SDK instead of the 3.0. Why is this?

!! Installation
[@\\pascria\imagingdfs\ImgUser4\Install Programs\Legacy Applications\Visual Studios 2005\Disk 1 MSDN Library@]

Since you're installing from a network share, you must go into the '''[@MSI@]''' folder and run [@WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe@] to update your installer FIRST

follow the rest of the directions in [@readme.htm#performing_an_advertised_install_from_a_network_share@]

which should be something like

[=START >> RUN >> msiexec.exe /jm "\\pascria\imagingdfs\ImgUser4\Install Programs\Legacy Applications\Visual Studios 2005\Disk 1 MSDN Library\msdn.msi" /t "\\pascria\imagingdfs\ImgUser4\Install Programs\Legacy Applications\Visual Studios 2005\Disk 1 MSDN Library\msdnadvt.mst"=]
